Hey everyone,

Hey, did you miss me? 👑

I’ve been heads-down this semester, grinding hard to finish up my business degree. It’s all part of the bigger plan—building real credibility so I can step up and help restore the family business to its rightful place. You all saw the coronation moment (what a wild ride that was!), and right after, I dove straight into the family archives. I wanted to dig into those whispers and claims about our lineage connecting back to the Plantagenets. You know, to see if there was any real truth to the idea that the Washingtons have royal English roots.

Well, I’m thrilled to announce: there absolutely is truth to it—and it runs even deeper than I ever imagined.

After poring over records, family trees, and historical documents, it’s clear that yes—I’m a distant cousin to the reigning royal family of England. The connections trace back through centuries-old lines, linking us to the Plantagenet dynasty (think kings like Edward III and beyond). George Washington himself had documented English gentry ancestry that ties into these noble and royal branches, and the Washington name carries that heritage forward.

I’ll be totally frank: Growing up American, I didn’t know a ton about the English monarchy. My history classes were heavy on the Revolutionary War, the Founding Fathers, and why we broke away—not so much on crowns, coronations, and court etiquette. It was a serious learning curve! But I’m genuinely glad I took the time to explore it. England places huge value on family pedigree and lineage, and I think it’s only right that the Washingtons honor and claim our proper place in that story.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America have shared so much history—alliances, conflicts, cultural ties, and yes, common heritage. I couldn’t be more excited (and humbled) to represent that bridge between our two nations. The crown is bigger than any one person—it’s bigger than all of us. My only goal is to strive for greatness, make my family proud, and carry this legacy forward with integrity.

As always, thank you for riding along on this journey of self-discovery with me. Your support, questions, and engagement mean the world.

Stay tuned for the next post—I’ll be sharing more about my surprising connection to Cleopatra in ancient Egypt. (Yes, you read that right. Things are about to get even more epic.)

Until then, keep shining! 🇺🇸🇬🇧

With royal regards,
Brandon
